The company’s move to the riverside site at Woolwich Arsenal was completed over the weekend of 1st and 2nd April 2006. Whilst benefiting from the many advantages of a purpose built factory, with bright new offices and a spacious pressroom, Europa Quality Print & Mailing (UK) is privileged to have their new headquarters on a historical landmark site.
As it was – two old views of the Woolwich Arsenal site
From 1667 the Woolwich site was the main storage area for the Crown’s military supplies. During World War I over 80,000 people were employed there in what was described as a ‘secret walled city and one of the governments most sensitive establishments.’
At the end of WW II the demand for armaments dropped considerably and the site began its’ decline, until in 2001 when The London Development Agency and Berkeley Homes embarked upon a major regeneration project. The latest planning application will provide 300,000 sq ft of commercial space and 3000 new homes.
